Performance evaluation of blockchain platforms is essential for understanding their relative strengths and limitations and for establishing a systematic basis for comparing and prioritizing the criteria that characterize their performance and security. In this study, the Full Consistency Method (FUCOM), a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) method, was employed to weight and rank 13 key criteria for evaluating the performance and security-related dimensions of blockchain platforms, which were identified and extracted from the relevant literature. The study is applied in terms of its objective and descriptive–analytical in nature. Data were collected through specialized questionnaires and the judgments of an expert panel. FUCOM was employed because it requires sequential comparisons to rank criteria and provides a means of assessing the consistency of expert judgments. The consistency of the judgments was evaluated based on the deviation measure calculated using FUCOM. The results indicated that “Transaction speed (C₁₀)”, with a weight of 0.1035, ranked first. “Network robustness (C₁₁)”, with a weight of 0.0996; “Consensus mechanism (C₄)”, with a weight of 0.0957; and “Transaction-ordering fairness (C₁₃)”, with a weight of 0.0917, ranked second to fourth, respectively. The remaining structural, security-related, and operational criteria occupied the subsequent positions. These findings provide a systematic basis for prioritizing performance and security criteria in blockchain platform evaluation and can support system architects and technology managers in making more informed decisions about platform design and selection.
